  • INDICATIONS

    Fildena is widely used to treat male sexual disorder, erectile dysfunction or impotence. It supplies sufficient blood to the penis, helping it to get erect.

    Fildena works by blocking the enzyme phosphodiesterase in the body. In combination with sexual stimulation, sildenafil functions by helping the blood flow into the penis to achieve and maintain erection, during physical intercourse.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    Fildena is meant for oral use. It should be taken 20 minutes prior physical intercourse. It does not provide any protection against transmission of HIV, syphilis, gonorrhoea, etc.

    DOSAGE

    Based on the age, drug tolerance and reaction to the drug, the dose is decided. Therefore, the patient should always consult a doctor before the usage.

    Missed dose:

    Fildena is taken only “when needed”.

    STORAGE 

    Fildena should be stored at a room temperature that ranges from 15-30 degrees. It should be kept away from reach of children and pets, preferably in a closed and locked cupboard. Protect the medicine from light, heat and moisture so that it retains its original effects.

    Always check the expiry date of the medicine before using it. In case of expired medicine, it should be discarded properly with the help of local waste disposal company.

     

  • Before using Fildena, the patients should check the ingredients present in it. In case they are allergic to any ingredient, should let their doctor know about that.


    Please consult a doctor:

    • in case the patient has medical history of any disease
    • in case the patient is using any medicine that has nitrate or any nitrogen containing ingredient in it, then Fildena should be avoided. 


    Intake of alcohol should be avoided by the patient when using Fildena.

    The patient should avoid grape fruit and grape juice when taking Fildena.

    Drug Interactions:

    Fildena might react with some other medicine. Therefore, the patient should always share the name of the medicine with a doctor. In general, some medicines that might interact with Fildena are:


    Amlodipine
    Rifampin
    St. John’s wort
    Fluconazole
    Itraconazole
    Ketoconazole
    Bosentan
    Quinidine
    Nefazodone
    Clarithromycin
    Erythromycin

    This is not the complete list of drug interactions. Some other medicines might also react with Fildena.

  • Possible side effects that you might get after using Fildena:

    Blurred vision
    Ringing in the ear
    Chest pain
    Loss of hearing
    Painful erection
    Erection lasts for more than 4 hours
    Diarrhoea
    Redness of the face
    Allergic reactions
    Nausea
    Vomiting
    Irregular heartbeat
    Light-headedness
